Moving Youth In A New Direction is a short-term employment and training program that provides Deep East Texas youth, ages 16-24, with an opportunity to gain practical experience and be compensated.

Youth can:

• Develop the skills, attitudes, and commitment necessary to succeed in today’s workplace
• Earn money and gain meaningful work experience
• Learn more about various careers
• Enhance basic academic, occupational, and other skills necessary for youth to obtain and maintain long-term employment
• Make a smooth transition from school to career and/or higher education

• Prepare tomorrow’s workforce today
• Provide productive and meaningful work assignments
