The October Labor Market statistics for the region reflected a rate of 4.9, remaining unchanged from the September rate. The regional unemployment rate is higher than the rate recorded a year ago (4.5).

We recently hosted Hiring Red White & You! a statewide, career fair connecting veterans and other job seekers with employers who value their skills. Held on November 7, 2024, in Nacogdoches, the event attracted 263 job seekers, including 26 veterans, and 27 local employers eager to tap into this talented workforce.
