On Friday, May 21, 2021, the Nacogdoches Independent School District (NISD) and Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas (WSDET) partnered to host a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Signing Day. This event was designed to celebrate members of the senior class who were either planning to continue their education or go straight to work in a high demand industry.

Board members from both NISD and WSDET, Mayor Jimmy Mize, and recruiters from Stephen F. Austin State University, University of Texas at Tyler and the Universal Technical Institute were present to support the graduating class and congratulate students on their next steps. Each student signed a Letter of Intent with their school representative, NISD Faculty or employer and received a signed certificate from Nacogdoches High School.

Students were also recognized for the certifications they gained through their CTE programs. Faculty announced each students achievements as they were called to the stage.

Photos from the event and of the 38 students honored can be found here or on the Nacogdoches High School's website here. Parents and other members of the community were invited to participate in the celebration.
