Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas
The Deep East Texas Local Workforce Development Board, Inc., d.b.a. Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas, has posted its DRAFT version of the Board Plan for Program Years 2025-2028. The Public is invited to review and submit comments. Click here to view the draft plan.
The process for plan development included communication and collaboration with stakeholders, as well as data gathering and analysis. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires that Boards set priorities for and oversee the local workforce development area in their region. WIOA requires that Boards and their appropriate chief elected officials (CEOs) develop their local plans to reflect labor market changes, economic conditions, and other factors affecting plan implementation. These factors may include, but are not limited to, changes to the financing available to support WIOA Title I and partner-provided services or a need to revise strategies in order to meet local performance goals.
This Board Plan was developed openly and is available to the public for comment until March 14, 2025.
