Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas
On behalf of the entire board and staff at Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas, we are humbled and honored to be recognized by State Representative Trent Ashby, District 9, and the Texas House of Representatives.
During the March 14, 2023, Deep East Texas Local Workforce Development Board meeting, Rep. Ashby’s district director Linda Parker presented a House Resolution to Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas for making a lasting and positive difference in the lives of area residents.
The resolution reads:
WHEREAS, Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas is making vital contributions to the prosperity and vitality of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, An association of business, education, work, government, and community entities, workforce Solutions Deep East Texas helps businesses thrive and jobseekers find work in 12 East Texas counties: Angelina, Houston, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity, and Tyler; and
WHEREAS, Through its six permanent workforce centers, as well as pop-up centers, Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas offers skills as aiming, job readiness and job search assistance, and paid work experience; moreover, the organization provides resume and interview workshops, access to thousands of online learning courses, and assistance with child-care expenses; and
WHEREAS, True to its mission, Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas has made a lasting and positive difference in the lives of countless area residents, and it is indeed a pleasure to honor the organization at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas be commended for its contributions to the community and that all those associated with the organization be extended sincere best wishes for continued success with their important work.
